Honeymoon
We visited Croatia. We stayed near Split which is an old town with a lot of character. Beautiful churches and lovely cobblestone (or marble) walkways. One of the coffee shops we visited does not have tables and chairs outside, you simply sit on cushions on the stairs and a little wooden board is placed between you. We hired a car (Craig's first time driving on the right side of the road - rather entertaining) and visited a fair amount of interesting areas. Also took a ferry to one of the islands and a bus drive to well known Dubrovnik. The weather was a bit chilly being the end of winter but we would definitely consider visiting Croatia again, perhaps during summer.
Our home in Klingberg
We have found a lovely house on the edge of the forest to rent and have made it our home. Our beloved Thai and Shadow are with us, so for now the family is complete. Feels like we are living in a holiday home. We have experienced a bit of snow (very exciting for me - I have decided that snow is one of my favourite things)!
Our special day...
Okay, I know it has been forever, so we clearly have some back tracking to do! Our wedding was absolutely perfect. We had originally planned to have the reception outdoors, but unfortunately it rained and we had to move everything inside. Not a problem though - it was still awesome. Just a relaxing day with family and friends. Craig had us all in tears with his lovely speech and this includes my dad as he said part of his speech in italian (rather impressive I thought). We had a string quartet playing for most of the day - stunning and yes, Shadow was there too. If I could, I would definitely do it all over again without changing a thing.
